U.S. Coast Station Barnegat Light responded to a vessel on fire near Graveling Point off the coast of Ocean County’s Little Egg Harbor on Tuesday afternoonThe Coast Guard said it worked quickly with local government agencies, Coast Guard Station Atlantic City, and a Good Samaritan to quickly help all people onboard.
A photograph released by the Coast Guard shows that it used a firefighting helicopter to douse the flames on the boat.
The fire occurred in a small two-motor boat. Officials did not say whether any of the passengers onboard the vessel were injured in the incident.
