Numerous power outages were reported on Monday morning due to the powerful storm that ripped through the Lakewood region, leaving thousands in the dark. The BMG Yoshon Bais Medrash was one of those affected by the outages, with the Bais Medrash plunged into darkness at the beginning of first seder.
Thankfully, Chaveirim came swiftly to the rescue. Its volunteers set up a portable light tower on the grass on 7th Street just outside the Bais Medrash, turning the light inwards to brighten up the Bais Medrash, allowing the hundreds inside to continue their learning unabated.
