Chaveirim of Central Jersey Responded to More Than 63,000 Calls in 2025

Chaveirim of Central Jersey responded to 63,646 service calls in 2025, according to year-end data released by the volunteer emergency services organization.

The calls spanned a wide range of non-medical emergency and assistance situations across Lakewood, Toms River, Jackson, Howell, Brick, Manchester, and surrounding areas.

The largest category of calls involved requests for vehicle boosts, totaling 25,716 incidents. Other high-volume call types included flat tires (18,735), vehicle lockouts (4,520), and house lockouts (8,117).

Chaveirim also responded to 5,880 out-of-gas calls, 4,113 flood-related incidents, and 4,532 vehicle battery failures. Additional calls included 1,333 emergencies, 868 search and rescue operations, 607 animal-related incidents, and 260 calls categorized as “other.”

The organization credited its ability to manage the high call volume to the “selflessness and dedication” of its volunteers, service members, and dispatchers.

Chaveirim of Central Jersey operates a 24-hour emergency hotline, available at 732-370-2229, providing rapid assistance for roadside issues, lockouts, flooding, search and rescue operations, and other urgent situations that do not require police or medical intervention.
