CHASDEI HASHEM: Young Boy Struck And Critically Injured By Vehicle Returns Home After Remarkable Recovery

Just weeks after a devastating accident left him clinging to life, a young boy from Toms River is heading home following a miraculous recovery.

Yair Yehoshua ben Chaya Atara was critically injured in March after being struck by a vehicle on Hickory Street. Hatzolah rushed the boy to the hospital, where he was treated for severe injuries.

For weeks, hundreds rallied around the family, offering tefillos and support as Yair fought for his life. Today, those tefillos were answered.

In a heartfelt message released by his family, they wrote:
“הודו לה׳ כי טוב כי לעולם חסדו – We are beyond grateful to share this incredible news. While we were hesitant to say anything until we were certain, we’re now thrilled to share that we are heading home. A more detailed post is coming soon, but we felt it was important to share this news right away.”

While the journey to full healing is not over, the fact that Yair is already well enough to leave the hospital nothing short of a neis.

  1. People need to put their phones down while driving! This is a horrible epidemic in our community. It is Sakanas nefashos, it is a huge chillul Hashem, and it is against the law! How many more incidents have to happen before people wake up?!
