Lakewood Township invites the public to attend its upcoming 2025 Independence Day Live Music and Fireworks Show at North Lake Park, overlooking Lake Carasaljo.

Out of sensitivity towards the local Shabbos observant population and other logistical considerations, the event will be held on Monday, July 7th.

From 8:00-9:15 pm, the Wilbur Wittemann Patriotic Band will conduct a special musical performance at the park’s All Wars Memorial Amphitheater. This performance will be followed by a dazzling live fireworks show that can be viewed from both North Lake Drive and South Lake Drive.

This event attracts thousands of participants each year who enjoy a fun night out while celebrating the birth of our great nation.

A multitude of Lakewood governmental agencies are working together to arrange the event and ensure that it is enjoyable and safe – with minimal traffic disruption.

“This is an event that my family and I, along with so many others in the Lakewood region, personally look forward to each year,” says Mayor Ray Coles. “The Lakewood Township team is pulling out all the stops for an exciting program this year, and we look forward to celebrating together with our friends and neighbors.”

    • I don’t know what you are talking about. I’ve gone plenty of times. I live 2 minutes from the lake and it’s only been canceled when there’s a reason.
