Cadaver Dog Finds Human Remains In Burned-Out Lakewood Structure

A fire that broke out last Motzei Shabbos in an abandoned structure on Chestnut Street apparently killed an as-of-yet unidentified homeless individual who was inside it.

Police said Friday that human remains had been discovered inside the burned-out structure, with the person having apparently been killed by the fire, which was sparked from a campfire set inside the building.

Police are apparently aware of the identity of the deceased, as they have been known to frequent other abandoned buildings, but a name has not been released as of this time.
