Brick Target Briefly Shut After Report Of Threat To The Store

The Target store in Brick has reopened after being shut on Tuesday morning due to an threat to the store received by police.

The Brick Police Dept. said its officers closed down the store in response to an unverified threat received today through “a reputable news agency.”

“Our investigation revealed that the threat was unfounded and the premises has now been determined safe and is back open for business,” Police said.

Assisting the Brick Police Department in dealing with the unfounded threat were Brick EMS, Brick OEM, Brick Fire Stations 21&22, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department as well as the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department.
