Brick Resident Killed When His SUV Flips While Exiting Garden State Parkway

A Brick resident died Saturday morning after his SUV overturned while exiting the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County, authorities said.

Troy E. Thompson, 62, was driving southbound on the Parkway when the fatal accident occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. According to a New Jersey State Police spokesman, Thompson was taking the 38A exit ramp in Egg Harbor Township when his vehicle lost control while navigating a curve. The SUV veered off the roadway to the left and overturned.

Police confirmed that the crash remains under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
