Brick Resident Killed After Rear-Ending SUV On Garden State Parkway

A tragic accident occurred on Thursday afternoon on the Garden State Parkway in Wall, leaving one driver dead. According to officials, 54-year-old Joseph Pace, a resident of Brick, was driving his car south near mile post 100.3 just after 3 pm when he struck an SUV from behind, causing his vehicle to veer off the road.

After rear-ending the SUV, Pace’s car crashed into two sign supports, slid down an embankment, and broke through a fence before coming to a stop. Pace was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fortunately, no one in the SUV was injured in the incident. State Police are investigating the cause of the accident and urge anyone with information to come forward. The fatal crash serves as a somber reminder of the importance of safe driving practices on our highways.
