New Jersey GOP Chairman Bob Hugin has appointed Theresa Velardi the new GOP Executive Director for the state of New Jersey, marking another milestone in Velardi’s meteoric rise in Republican politics.
Velardi has managed multiple successful political campaigns in New Jersey, including masterminding upset wins against powerful incumbent Democrats. She also managed the recent, nationally-watched campaign of Bob Healy, whose district covers Burlington, Mercer, and Monmouth Counties.
She also recently arranged one of the most successful fundraisers in New Jersey political circles – a fundraiser for United Ocean County held in Glatt Ambiance two weeks ago.
At just 27 years old, Theresa’s rise in GOP state politics is almost unheard of, and officials say her new position will inject youth and vigor to a state political party that has been gaining in strength and numbers in recent years.
Ms. Velardi has long-standing connections with local askanim and officials, and her ascension to one of the most powerful posts in GOP state politics is expected to provide a major boon to Orthodox Jewish allies throughout the Garden State.
