Jackson Board of Education Business Administrator Michelle Richardson is resigning effective December 1st, in a surprise move that caps a long career as one of the most important officials in the township.
Specifically, included in Richardson’s key roles was leading the school district’s plans and provision of transportation services for Jackson students – an issue which has been mired in controversy and discontent for several years now.
Richardson has been in the Business Administrator position for some twenty years, and her resignation comes at a critical point in Jackson’s attempts to resolve the BOE’s financial troubles and transportation conundrum.
