The Jackson Jewish Community Council has released the following statement:
We are happy to announce that a freezer truck has been arranged for residents without power to store their frozen goods until electricity has been restored at their homes.
The freezer truck is now available for use at the Jackson Police Department, 102 Jackson Drive. It will be manned around the clock by Chaveirim members, thus allowing for residents to have full access to their food at all times.
Residents who plan to use this service are requested to ensure that everything is double-bagged and their name and phone numbers are clearly written on all items being stored in the truck.
A special thank you to Tomchei Shabbos, Chaveirim of Central Jersey and the Jackson Police Department for their assistance in providing this urgent service to Jackson residents.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Mayor Michael Reina, the Jackson Township Council, Jackson Police Department, Jackson Fire Department, Jackson OEM, Chaveirim of Central Jersey, JCP&L, and the many other agencies and individuals who have been working tirelessly around the clock to have our roadways reopened and power restored.
Thank you,
The JJCC
