A small airplane has crashed at Lakewood Airport off Cedarbridge Avenue with three people onboard. Lakewood Alerts has confirmed that all occupants are members of one local family.
Dozens of fire, EMS, and police personnel rushed to the scene, finding 1 patient critically injured, while the two other occupants were not seriously harmed.
A Medevac was initially requested to transport one patient to a trauma center, but was subsequently called off, and the patient was transferred by ambulance in stable condition. The other two occupants were unharmed.
The airplane appears to be a four-seater Cessna 172M aircraft, and is owned by a Lakewood resident.

I have tried to have Mr. Reinman share his Safety Plan for Lakewood Airport, to no avail. Either he does not have a safety plan or is being stubborn to share with residents of the Twp. The Mayor and Mr. Reinman have a system of ignoring any questions that pertain to the airport in Lakewood. One of the main issues is that most, if not all, of the small planes that utilize the Lakewood airport utilize Leaded Aviation Fuel. This fuel is also sold at Lakewood Airport. Lead that is used by these small planes, according to the EPA, have an extremely dangerous and irreversible effect to all especially our children. I have asked both the mayor and Mr. Reinman as to whatever lead studies they have conducted. No Answer. Assuming that no studies have been conducted. I find it extremely irresponsible.
