Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of Jackson Rite Aid

A bomb threat at a Rite Aid in Jackson prompted a large police and fire response Friday morning, though the threat turned out to be false.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the bomb threat at the Rite Aid at N. New Prospect and Aldrich Road arose from a dispute or a disgruntled shopper, or was simply another swatting incident.

Regardless, following a sweep of the premises, the Rite Aid was reopened to customers and business is back as usual.
