The body of a 29-year-old boater was found Sunday afternoon after his kayak capsized on Prospertown Lake in Jackson Township on Saturday, while kayaking with a friend.

According to police, authorities were alerted to the incident around 2:25 p.m. and responded to find the kayak’s occupant unaccounted for.

A multi-agency response was launched, with vessels and divers deployed to search for the missing boater. However, the search was suspended late Saturday evening due to severe weather and darkness.
