Bill Spadea Resorts to Antisemitism in Desperate Bid to Salvage NJ Gubernatorial Campaign

In a last-ditch effort to revive his struggling campaign for New Jersey governor, Republican candidate and NJ 101.5 radio host Bill Spadea’s campaign is apparently resorting to stoking up antisemitism to drum up support.

A new campaign text message reads: “Jack Ciattarelli supports Lakewood-style overdevelopment that has destroyed our neighborhoods, crushes our infrastructure and strains our school budgets.”

Spadea’s shameful stooping comes as he trails far behind in the Republican primary. President Donald Trump recently endorsed Spadea’s rival, former state Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, cementing Ciattarelli’s position as the frontrunner in the June 10, 2025, GOP primary. Polls show Spadea lagging by as much as 40 percentage points, a gap that means his campaign is essentially dead in the water.

Despite the endorsement and polling deficit, Spadea has refused to bow out, doubling down on his bid to challenge Ciattarelli.

  1. I think most people in lakewood support stopping overdevelopment which already destroyed much of our neighborhoods.
Not everything you disagree with is anti semitism.

  2. Overdevelopment is a very real problem regardless of who’s doing it. Criticizing it does not make one anti semitic
