As the summer season winds down, Bikur Cholim of Lakewood is calling on camps and bungalow colonies in Lakewood and the Catskills to take part in a vital initiative: donating leftover bulk food to benefit patients and families in need.
The organization, which provides thousands of meals daily for patients and their families, announced that it will be arranging pickups of surplus food as camps close for the season. All collected food will go directly to supporting local households struggling with medical challenges.
