Lakewood Alerts regrets to inform you of the petirah of Yaakov Moskowitz z”l, a son of longtime Lakewood Cheder rebbi R’ Mordechai Shmuel Moskowitz z”l. He was just 39 years old.
Yaakov z”l, who was an older bachur, was tragically found lifeless in bed on Monday morning in Los Angeles after apparently suffering a heart attack as he slept.
His father, R’ Mordechai Shmuel z”l, was infamously attacked by Lee Tucker, a bat-wielding maniac, on Lexington Avenue in Lakewood in 2007. The longtime Cheder rebbi was in a lengthy coma following the attack before making a miraculous recovery.
R’ Mordechai Shmuel – who was also the founder of the Greater Adventure Chol Hamoed learning program for children – was niftar in 2021 at the age of 67.
