Lakewood Alerts regrets to inform you the petirah of Reb Moshe Asher Brown z”l, a longtime resident of Boro Park and the father of well-known Lakewood attorney Shmuel Zev (Sam) Brown.
Born in Banihad, Hungary in the difficult years following the horrors of the war, Reb Moshe Asher was the son of Reb Yisroel z”l, and carried with him the emunah peshuta and mesirus nefesh of previous generations.
Though he held a position as a professor in the secular world, Reb Moshe Asher was bound tightly Torah and his fellow yidden. He was known for his brilliance and refined middos, and despite his academic standing, he was a true anav who never sought kavod.
He leaves behind a mishpacha of ehrlicheh Yidden who continue in his ways of Torah and yiras Shomayim.
The levaya will take place Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Shomrei Hadas.
