Lakewood Alerts regrets to inform you of the petirah of Rabbi Mordechai Gewirtz z”l, a longtime mechanech who was niftar overnight at the age of 75.
R’ Mordechai z”l served in klei kodesh in Denver, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Queens, before moving to Lakewood several years ago to be close to his children – R’ Yossi, R’ Henoch, R’ Dovid, and R’ Naftali.
The levaya is scheduled to take place at 11 AM Wednesday morning at the Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel in Lakewood, 613 Ramsey Avenue. Kevurah will take place in Eretz Yisroel.
