We regret to inform you of the petirah of Mrs. Sarah Zeilingold a”h, at the age of 86, a beloved member of one of Lakewood’s early Torah families. She was the eldest daughter of HaRav Chaim Shmuel Lopian zt”l and a granddaughter of the legendary Mashgiach, Rav Elya Lopian zt”l.
Mrs. Zeilingold was renowned for her refined middos, sterling yiras Shamayim, and deep devotion to Torah and chessed.
A link to Lakewood’s early Torah history, Mrs. Zeilingold was part of a generation that helped shape the town’s landscape into what it has become today.
The levayah will take place this afternoon, with the niftarah being flown to Eretz Yisroel on the 5:00 p.m. flight from JFK for kevurah in Eretz Hakodesh.
