Assemblyman Avi Schnall (D-30) will host a Utility Assistance Day to help residents of the 30th District connect with free utility grant programs and services. This free community event will take place on Monday, June 9, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Strand Theater, located at 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, NJ.
“Too many families are struggling with rising utility costs,” said Assemblyman Schnall. “This event is designed to bring essential resources directly to the people who need them most, ensuring no one is left in the dark when help is available.”
Residents attending the event will have the opportunity to meet directly with representatives from key utility providers and assistance organizations, including the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU), New Jersey Natural Gas, Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), NJ SHARES, the Community Affairs & Resource Center (CARC), and the Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
Each organization will be available to assist residents in learning about and applying for utility assistance programs, including grants for energy, gas, and electricity bills.
For more information, residents can contact Assemblyman Schnall’s Director of Constituent Affairs by emailing mhorowitz@njleg.org.
