Assemblyman Schnall to Host Tax Relief Assistance Event in Lakewood on Sunday

Assemblyman Avi Schnall, in partnership with the New Jersey Division of Taxation, will host an Anchor & PAS-1 Application Filing and Assistance Event this Sunday, September 28, at the Lakewood Township Municipal Building, located at 231 Third Street.

The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and aims to help residents navigate the application process for the state’s Anchor property tax relief program and PAS-1 benefits.

Attendees applying for Anchor should bring a government-issued photo ID. For PAS-1, residents will need to provide a photo ID, Social Security number, income documentation for 2023 and 2024 (such as NJ-1040 or SSA-1099 forms), and information on total billed property taxes for both years.

“Too many residents miss out on tax relief simply because the process feels overwhelming. This event is about breaking down those barriers and making sure every eligible family gets the support they deserve,” Schnall said.

For more information, residents can contact Schnall’s office at 848-245-9486 or email asmSchnall@njleg.org
