Organizers of the fifth annual Ma’amad Adirei HaTorah are weighing a move to a larger venue after every available ticket sold out within four hours of going on sale Monday.
Discussions are still in the early stages, but organizers said they are working to determine whether a venue change can practically come together in the time remaining before the May 31 event.
The maamad is currently scheduled for the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, formerly the Wells Fargo Center, which has an official seating capacity of 20,478. Organizers have not publicly identified an alternative site, though earlier conversations about a larger venue have centered on SHI Stadium in Piscataway, N.J., which holds 52,454 — more than two and a half times the Philadelphia arena’s capacity.
“As we’ve all clearly seen this year from the demand, and from how insanely fast tickets sold, this event needs a bigger venue, and that is being worked on,” Adirei Hatorah organizer Uri Davidi confirmed.
Rabbi Yosef Heinemann, CEO of Beth Medrash Govoha, confirmed that the possibility of a venue change is being explored but cautioned that the logistics are formidable.
“We need a lot of siyata dishmaya for it to happen,” he said.

Fake news.
OK, so purchase a ticket now, and post a screenshot
When are they having the one to honor those that work and learn?
Ashrechah baolam hazeh vetov lach leolam habah.
You will have to wait till after a 120 for your award/reward.
it’s called the siyum hashas. Next year, brother!
You are 100000000 correct. Most people that work 5 or days a week, Learn more then most kollel people. That’s a sad fact. Siyum hashas and most other siyum around the globe are made 99% from working people.
wow what an amazing way to degrade one of the best things we have!!
if you learn, why can’t you be happy with yourself without putting down others? When I was in kollel, i experienced kollel yungeleit that learned with such depth and clarity with nothing else in their lives, that Torah was something beyond!
once someone gets into the “i learn more than him” “i daven better than him” “i have better middos than him” you are truly lost!
I have seen great respect given to balebatim that learn!
I bless you with the ability to appreciate good wherever it is, and at least learn how to train your eyes to see some good and start to be big, then you will earn respect!!
Well said. Goal is for more Torah. Torah is a unifier and we are showing respect to those that symbolize the learning of Torah in our nation. We all want a piece of it and do our best to grab how much of it we can whether it’s actual learning or supporting or both. It’s the only thing that makes us Jewish.
