500+ Mental Health Professionals, Rabbonim, and Doctors Attend EmpowerEd Summit in Lakewood

More than 500 mental health professionals, Rabbonim, medical doctors, and organizational leaders gathered Sunday at the Beru Grand in Lakewood for the EmpowerEd Spring Mental Health Summit.

The summit, organized by EmpowerEd in collaboration with Ray of Hope, Amudim, Touro College, and MASK, centered on a core mission: bridging the gap between medical professionals, mental health clinicians, and Rabbonim to foster better communication and aligned treatment approaches.

“By fostering collaboration across these fields, the program aims to strengthen communication, align treatment approaches, and support the development of cohesive plans that address clinical, medical, and halachic considerations in a coordinated manner,” organizers said.

The event brought together psychotherapists, psychiatric providers, medical professionals, Rabbonim, organizational leaders, and others working to support individuals and families in the community.

EmpowerEd, a new division of Empower Health Center founded by Dr. Yossi Shafer, Ph.D., launched the initiative to elevate the standard of mental health education through consistent, high-level trainings and specialty programs while unifying the mental health care ecosystem under a single platform.
