A 4-year-old girl who was critically injured in last Thursday’s MVA at the intersection of Route 70 and Massachusetts Ave. is fighting for her life, the Patch reports.

The little girl, named Isabella, was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center following the accident, where she is now in the pediatric intensive care unit.

The crash occurred when a Jackson man with a suspended license ran a red light and slammed into the Subaru Impreza she was traveling in. The man, identified by police as 33-year-old Charles Sharkey, has been charged with multiple offenses over the crash, including aggravated assault, assault by auto, and others.

Isabella has already undergone one surgery and faces at least several more as she fights to recover from her injuries.
