A 33-year-old Toms River man has died following a weekend motorcycle crash in Lakewood, police confirmed Tuesday.
Anthony Ferrentino was pronounced dead at Ocean Medical Center in Brick after sustaining critical injuries in the collision Saturday morning.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Shorrock Street and Four Seasons Boulevard. Police said Ferrentino was riding a 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT south on Shorrock Street when his motorcycle collided with a Dodge Hornet driven by a 56-year-old Lakewood woman making a left turn.
Two witnesses told officers the motorcycle ran a red light before the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by Lakewood police.
