Three people were tragically killed in an accident on Lakehurst Road in Toms River shortly after midnight when a truck and sedan collided.
Police said they were called to the scene at around 12:25 am Friday morning, located near Toms River’s Community Medical Center. Officials didn’t specify how the accident occurred, nor did they identify the deceased, pending family notification.

The crash is Ocean County’s 26th fatal MVA this year alone, with a total of 29 deaths reported in the crashes.
