Jackson Township Police played a central role in a multi-agency narcotics investigation that led to the arrest of two Trenton residents and the seizure of heroin and cocaine, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced.
The investigation, which spanned two months, involved federal, county, and local law enforcement agencies, including the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, FBI Jersey Shore Safe Streets Task Force, DEA’s HIDTA Group 5, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office. Jackson Township Police contributed multiple specialized units, including the Special Response Team, Special Enforcement Unit, Patrol Division, and K-9 Unit.
On August 5, detectives established surveillance on Seption Diggs, 30, in Trenton, where he was observed entering a vehicle driven by Ahmia Tillery, 26. The pair headed toward Jackson Township, where officers from the Jackson Township Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop. Diggs and Tillery were taken into custody without incident.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 2,450 doses of heroin and 43 grams of cocaine, authorities said.
Diggs was charged with multiple counts, including possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine, distribution, conspiracy, and possession of paraphernalia. He remains detained at the Ocean County Jail. Tillery was charged with the same offenses but was later released under New Jersey’s bail reform laws.
