More than 200 runners participated in a half-marathon on Sunday to support Nesivos, a Lakewood-based organization that provides critical mental health services to teens and families. The event, which included both a half marathon and a 10K race, raised over $500,000 for the nonprofit’s programming.
The race began with an energized sendoff, as friends, family, and supporters gathered to cheer on participants. Runners were offered water stations at each mile marker, and media crews were present to document the event, capturing aerial footage with drones and photographing participants along the course.
Participants competed in either the 13.1-mile half marathon or the 6.2-mile 10K. Top finishers in the 10K included Moishy Klein, Yossi Link, and Yossi Weintraub. The half marathon was led by Baruch Kramer, who completed the race in under 90 minutes, followed by Mordy Friedman and Ephraim Azer.
Following the race, participants attended a celebratory gathering featuring food, music, and wellness amenities, including a runners’ lounge, sauna, and massage therapy.
