20-Year-Old Toms River Resident Killed in Crash on Garden State Parkway

A young Toms River man was killed and a Long Branch man was seriously injured early Sunday morning after they were ejected from a vehicle during a crash on the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey State Police said.

The crash was reported shortly after 6 a.m. near milepost 73.2 in Lacey Township, according to Trooper Christopher Postorino. Brian Fort, 20, of Toms River, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, identified as Errol Jeffrey, 22, of Long Branch, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available.
