More than one hundred fifty mentors attended last night’s training from M.A.P.S. in Estreia, including numerous mentors from Krovei Lev, Kanfei Faiga, Kulam Ahuvim, The CHILL, and Catapult, among other organizations.
M.A.P.S. (Mentors and Advocates Professional Support) was founded by Nesivos, CHEMED, and LCSC to provide mentors with training, education, and support.
Dr. Norman Blumenthal spoke to the audience about a variety of topics, including mentor role, goal setting, empathy/reflective listening, the distinction between mentorship and therapy, and practical tools.
The next training will be presented by Dr. Debbie Fox on Monday, July 17th.
