Lakewood residents, take note: those seemingly harmless self-serve kiosks popping up in local stores might not be as innocent as they look.
At Rita’s on River Avenue, a child was spotted freely scrolling through YouTube on the in-store kiosk — with no filters or restrictions in place. These advertising kiosks can easily become portals to unfiltered internet content if not properly secured.
Parents and store owners are urged to be vigilant. What looks like a simple ordering screen could quickly turn into something far less appropriate.
