Gedolim of Keren Olam HaTorah gathered today at the Lakewood home of philanthropist Reb Baruch Jeremias for a major fundraising event supporting Torah learning worldwide.
During the gathering, HaRav Chaim Mordechai Ausband, Rosh Yeshiva of Ateres Shlomo, delivered powerful remarks explaining how Limud HaTorah serves as a spiritual shield protecting Klal Yisroel — even from missile attacks.
Couldn’t he give the same message and without diluting it, mention the mesiras nefesh of the soldiers and the need to daven for them? Rav Chaim Shmuevitz valued Torah learning as much as he does, but constantly spoke abt our obligation to appreciate the mesiras nefesh of ythe soldiers to defend us.
The sincerity of these gefolai Hatorah, and the hisorrirus from the numbers who appeared is so blatantly pure. They for sure daven and learn for the hatzlocha of our devoted soldiers. We must understand that ארץ ישראל בלי תורה היא כגוף בלי נשמה.
The soldiers will experience miraculous success if they appreciate how necessary Torah is to life. It is our gift from Hashem. Our bnai TTorah are critical to the successful existence of ארץ ישראל. We cannot strive to be like the nation’s. Torah is our guide and conscience. We love every yid. We need Torah 24/7 so yidden will be safe everywhere.
